Ecole de bioinformatique IFB – Inserm - INRAE Niveau1
Application Submission
Objectives
The training is aimed at biologists directly involved in "Next Generation Sequencing" (NGS) projects. This edition of the school will focus on new technological challenges, with three thematic workshops in parallel sessions (bulk RNA-seq, ChIP-seq/ATAC-seq, variants DNA-seq), and a new workshop, single-cell RNA-Seq, which will cover the first steps of analysis. The school will also include an introduction to "long reads" technologies.
The school aims to introduce concepts and manipulate computational tools, and to interpret results. It is based on an alternation of short theoretical sessions and practical workshops. Participants will benefit from personalized tutoring to develop their analysis plan and perform the first steps of processing their own data or that of their platform.
Note: The tutoring is not intended to complete the full analysis of the participants' data.
Duration
The training will take place from November 16 to 21, 2025
Language
The courses will be taught exclusively in French.
Work Environment
The entire training will be based on the use of command lines (Linux terminal) and the R language.
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge of Linux or R environments is required, but participants will be asked to follow an online self-training course before the training to facilitate the use of these languages. The training will progressively deepen the use of these environments throughout the thematic sessions.
Registration Modalities
Pre-registration deadline:
June 7, 2025 (participant selection: mid-June 2025). Each year, demand far exceeds our capacity (40 places), so the organizing committee will select participants based on the information provided in the registration form. The maturity level of the scientific project involving sequence data analysis will be one of the evaluation criteria.
